Welcome to my business journey.

My name is Jay Greenwood, I hope this page brings some value to you. This is the place I will share the lessons I learn from the founders behind the best food and drink and leisure brands in the UK. Also, I hope to share lessons I learnt from growing a 6-figure net profit business, Crafty Pies and selling my high protein cereal business, Southstar, at the end of 2022.

I set up Crafty Pies at 24 with no experience in food or business. I thought it would be fun, it was a big shock to my system to realise how hard it is to go into an industry that you know nothing about with no experience in business either. The way I describe it is, I got a big punch in the face early that really brought me back down to reality, I was an idiot and I had no clue what I was doing and I was either going to fail or I needed to learn quickly and turn things around.

Fast forward to now and I have learnt a lot. The way I learnt was reaching out to my heroes in the industry with a proven track record of success. My hope is to share their knowledge and maybe some of my own, not so good insights.
